What you may smell when you open a new pair of OOFOS comes from our freshly-made OOfoam™ - which gets contained in the packaging during assembly.
OOFOS do not contain any toxic materials or chemicals. If you encounter a scent upon opening your package, place the OOFOS outside or near some fresh air and the scent should dissipate. To help it to dissipate faster you can also clean your OOFOS with one of our recommended methods.
